Hyderabad: Authorities have declared eight missing workers from the Sigachi factory fire in Pasmailaram, Sangareddy, as deceased, after concluding that recovering their remains is unlikely. Officials said the individuals—Rahul, Shivaji, Venkatesh, Vijay, Akhilesh, Justin, Ravi, and Irfan—were likely burned beyond recognition in the blast.
With no trace of their bodies found, officials advised families to proceed with final rites. DNA analysis is continuing, and authorities assured next of kin they would be informed if any trace emerges.
The Sigachi factory fire, which occurred in Pasmailaram, Sangareddy district, had earlier resulted in the identification of 44 bodies. With the addition of the eight presumed dead, the official toll in the Sigachi factory fire now stands at 52.
