Jubilee Hills bypoll will trigger political shift in Telangana: Shekhawat

Hyderabad: Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Saturday called the Jubilee Hills bypoll a turning point in Telangana’s political landscape. He said the November 11 vote would mark the beginning of a broader political shift in the state.

Speaking to voters from other states at a meeting in Jubilee Hills, Shekhawat said this bypoll was more than just a local contest. He called it a critical step toward unseating the Congress government in the 2028 Assembly election. He asked BJP workers and supporters to ensure the victory of party candidate L Deepak Reddy.

Shekhawat also attacked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy without naming him. He referred to a recent comment linking Congress with Muslims and warned against divisive rhetoric. Leaders who make such statements, he said, must be reminded that India will not bow to sectarian forces.

He added that only nationalist parties could bring lasting change to Telangana. He called the Jubilee Hills bypoll the first step in that larger mission.
