Hyderabad: Twelve youths were arrested by Shamshabad police on Tuesday for organising an unauthorised hookah party at a farmhouse in Gundyaguda village, located in Shamshabad mandal on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
According to Circle Inspector Narendra Reddy, the police raided the MRG farmhouse following a tip-off that a hookah party was underway without permission. During the operation, officers caught the youth red-handed, reportedly partying with loud DJ music and hookah setups.
All those detained are said to be residents of Hyderabad. The police seized hookah equipment and sound systems from the venue. A case has been registered and further investigation is ongoing to ascertain the source of the equipment and the organisers behind the event.
