Shabbir Ali assures support to Haj pilgrims at Kamareddy camp

Hyderabad: Government Adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir assured full support to Haj pilgrims from Telangana, stating that the state would provide all facilities for a safe and smooth pilgrimage.

He inaugurated a Haj training camp organised by the Kamareddy District Haj Society at Devunipalli. The session drew large participation from pilgrims across the district. As a result, attendees underwent detailed training on procedures.

Religious scholars explained key rituals and mandatory practices during Haj. They also guided pilgrims on precautions, travel, accommodation and logistics. In addition, they outlined possible challenges during the journey and ways to address them.

Participants interacted with scholars and organisers to clarify doubts. Meanwhile, organisers provided separate seating and guidance for women pilgrims. Many attendees said the training would help them perform Haj safely and with clarity.

Shabbir Ali highlights welfare outreach and CMRF support

During his address, Shabbir Ali said the Congress government stood by people and treated their problems as its own. He added that timely assistance reflected effective governance. Therefore, he assured that all arrangements, including support services in Mecca, would be ensured.

Earlier, at a programme in Nizamabad, Shabbir Ali and PCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud distributed welfare benefits and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund cheques.

Under welfare schemes, 404 beneficiaries received ₹4.04 crore under Shaadi Mubarak. Meanwhile, 187 beneficiaries received ₹1.87 crore under Kalyana Lakshmi. In total, authorities distributed ₹5.91 crore.

Additionally, 54 beneficiaries received ₹32 lakh under the CMRF. The scheme supports poor families during medical emergencies and financial distress.

Despite financial constraints, the government continued welfare programmes. At the same time, officials said these schemes aimed to reduce the burden on poor families.

He directed officials to ensure that only eligible beneficiaries received assistance. Measures should also prevent misuse and maintain transparency, he said.

Mahesh Kumar Goud said the government fulfilled several promises within a short period. He added that welfare and development programmes continued without interruption.

He highlighted initiatives such as free bus travel for women, subsidised LPG cylinders and free electricity. Schemes like Indiramma housing, loan waiver and Rythu Bharosa aimed to support the poor, he said.

Leaders, public representatives, officials and beneficiaries attended the programme.
