Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister D. Seethakka has issued a stern warning that no one involved in corruption during the previous BRS government will be spared, asserting that accountability will be enforced across the board.
Speaking to reporters during her visit to Bathulapalli village in Kothaguda mandal of Mahabubabad district, Seethakka referred specifically to the large-scale irregularities in the goat distribution scheme. She revealed that several individuals connected to the scam have already been arrested and assured that strict legal action would follow.
“There is absolutely no question of letting off officials or employees who were involved in scams under the guise of schemes and programmes during the previous administration,” the Minister said, accusing the former government of widespread misuse of public funds.
She emphasised that the current administration is committed to transparency and will not tolerate any form of corruption, irrespective of the perpetrators’ positions or affiliations.
In a separate comment, Seethakka mentioned that participants of the upcoming international beauty pageant scheduled to take place in Hyderabad would be invited to visit the historic Ramappa Temple, highlighting the state’s cultural richness.
