Secunderabad traffic diversions announced for drainage pipeline work

Hyderabad: Police announced Secunderabad traffic diversions from Friday due to drainage pipeline works in the Secunderabad area.

Officials said workers will lay a 450-millimetre diameter sewage pipeline from the Bharat Petroleum pump to the railway bridge underpass near Rail Nilayam.

Because of the works, authorities will restrict vehicle movement on several roads. Therefore, police issued Secunderabad traffic diversions and alternative routes for motorists.

Vehicles coming from Punjagutta and Begumpet will not be allowed towards Rail Nilayam Road at St John’s Rotary Junction.

Instead, traffic will move through Sangeet Junction, Apollo Hospital Lane and Chilakalguda Circle before proceeding towards Alugaddabavi and Mettuguda.

Secunderabad traffic diversions affect multiple routes near Rail Nilayam

Police also announced Secunderabad traffic diversions for vehicles approaching from the AOC area.

Vehicles from AOC will not be allowed to enter Rail Nilayam Road at Shenoy Nursing Home Junction. Instead, traffic will move through Addagutta, Tukaram Gate and Lalaguda ROB before reaching Mettuguda.

Similarly, vehicles coming from Clock Tower and SD Road will not be permitted towards Rail Nilayam Road at Sangeet Junction.

Those vehicles will be diverted through Apollo Hospital Lane and Chilakalguda Circle before moving towards Alugaddabavi and Mettuguda.

Traffic from Regimental Bazaar, D-Mart and SD Road will also be diverted at Apollo Hospital Lane.

Those vehicles will travel via Chilakalguda Circle and Alugaddabavi before proceeding to Mettuguda.

Traffic police urged commuters to note the traffic diversions and cooperate with authorities to avoid congestion during the construction work.
