Salon worker brutally murdered in Moinabad village

Hyderabad: Unknown assailants brutally murdered a salon worker by slitting his throat in Moinabad mandal of Ranga Reddy district, creating panic in Venkatapur village.

The victim was identified as Mahesh, 24, the elder son of Jumpula Rangaiah, a resident of Venkatapur village. Mahesh worked at his uncle’s salon near Kaveliguda crossroads in Shamshabad mandal.

Along with his regular work at the salon, Mahesh also performed with music bands to earn extra income. Locals said he often travelled at night after completing his work.

Salon worker murder took place near Kaveliguda crossroads

On Wednesday night, unidentified attackers targeted Mahesh and forcibly took him into a nearby venture area. The location was about half a kilometre away from Kaveliguda crossroads.

There, the attackers slit his throat and fled from the spot. Local residents later noticed the body and immediately informed the police.

Police teams reached the scene soon after receiving the alert. They registered a case and launched an investigation into the salon worker murder.

Officials said they were examining all possible angles, including personal disputes and other motives. Police added that further action would depend on evidence collected during the investigation.
