Hyderabad: A road accident near Iruvaram junction on the outskirts of Chittoor town claimed the life of a software employee after a container crashed onto his car.
The victim was travelling from Tirupati towards Bengaluru when the container fell onto the vehicle. As a result, the car was completely crushed in the impact. The severity of the road accident left the vehicle mangled beyond recognition.
Police identified the deceased as Anudeep, a native of Ramapuram in Gudipala mandal. The accident occurred at a busy junction, which prompted locals to alert authorities immediately.
Road accident leaves car trapped under container
After receiving information from residents, police rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. However, the car remained stuck under the container, making removal difficult.
Given the intensity of the crash, officers initially suspected that six persons might have been inside the vehicle. However, after lifting the container and pulling out the car, they found only one body.
Police registered a case in connection with the accident and began investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
