Hyderabad: A major road accident on Chevella Road claimed one life, injured two people critically and left seven others hurt on Friday. The crash took place when a car was mangled between Moyinabad and Kanakamamidi on the Bijapur Highway.
The car overturned after the collision and suffered heavy damage. Responders rushed to the spot and freed the occupants. One person died at the scene. Two others were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Seven passengers received minor injuries.
Emergency teams reached the area quickly and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals. Traffic on the Bijapur Highway slowed down as rescue workers cleared the wreckage.

Investigators said the car veered off the road between Moyinabad and Kanakamamidi and hit a roadside barrier. It rolled several times before coming to a halt. The cause of the crash is not yet clear. Police are checking if speed, a mechanical fault or driver error led to the accident.
