Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a revenue inspector in Khammam district for accepting a ₹10,000 bribe related to land record work.
ACB officials said Smt. Vusa Subha Kameshwari, Revenue Inspector/Giridawar at the Tahsildar’s office in Karepalli Mandal, demanded the bribe from a complainant. She accepted the money at her residence in Karepalli on December 18 at around 11:07 AM. The bribe was for verifying, attesting, and forwarding a family member certificate needed for land mutation.

The complainant’s father, Sri Lakshminarsu, paid the amount to include the grandfather’s name in land records. ACB officials recovered the tainted money from the officer’s possession.
Officials confirmed that the revenue inspector misused her authority for personal gain. They arrested her and produced her before the Special Judge for ACB and SPE cases in Warangal. While the investigation continues, ACB is withholding the complainant’s identity for safety reasons.
Meanwhile, ACB urged citizens to report bribery through its toll-free number 1064. Complaints can also be sent via WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook, or X (@TelanganaACB). QR codes for quick reporting are displayed in all government offices.
