Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid a Babu Jagjivan Ram tribute on his 119th birth anniversary, honouring the leader’s role in advancing social justice and equality.
The Chief Minister offered floral respects to Babu Jagjivan Ram’s portrait at his residence in Jubilee Hills. The tribute was part of official commemorations marking the birth anniversary of the veteran leader.
Revanth Reddy praised the contributions of Babu Jagjivan Ram towards the welfare of marginalised communities and workers. He said the leader had consistently worked to uplift disadvantaged sections of society.
Babu Jagjivan Ram tribute recalls fight against discrimination
During the event, the Chief Minister recalled that Babu Jagjivan had fought against caste discrimination and untouchability. He added that the leader dedicated his life to securing the rights of Dalits and promoting equality.
Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government remains guided by Babujee’s ideals. He stated that the administration is committed to ensuring social justice and welfare for all sections of society.
