Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will visit Makthal on December 1 to launch development projects worth ₹1,000 crore. Minister Vakiti Srihari announced the schedule while meeting Congress workers ahead of the visit.
The CM will inaugurate several infrastructure works and address a public meeting in Makthal town. Congress leaders from Makthal, Atmakur, and Amarachintha are coordinating crowd mobilisation for the event. Vakiti Srihari urged local party units to ensure a strong turnout.
CM to inaugurate roads, hospital, irrigation works in Makthal
Vakiti Srihari said this visit would mark a historic development phase for Makthal. Revanth Reddy will lay foundations for roads, a power substation, a sports complex, and an integrated school. He will also launch works on Sangambanda and Jurala project lining.
The CM is also pushing forward a ₹5,000 crore irrigation plan. It will provide water to 36,000 acres through the Narayanpet–Kodangal lift scheme. Officials renamed the initiative the “Makthal–Narayan–Kodangal Project” to reflect local priorities.
Farmers who gave land for the project received ₹20 lakh each. This includes ₹14 lakh standard compensation and ₹6 lakh additional support. Vakiti Srihari praised the CM as a leader who keeps his word to farmers.
The CM will also inaugurate a 50-bed hospital in Atmakur. This facility addresses long-standing demands for healthcare in the region.
Bridge construction over the Jurala backwaters will reduce travel distance from Atmakur to Makthal by 29 kilometres. This move is expected to improve local connectivity.
The Chief Minister will also visit the historic West Anjaneya Swamy temple in Makthal.
Minister Srihari called on the public to attend the event in large numbers. He said the visit proves that Revanth Reddy has fulfilled promises made during the 2023 elections.
