Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy returned to Hyderabad on Wednesday night after concluding a seven-day visit to Japan. He was welcomed at the Shamshabad airport by a large contingent of MPs, MLAs, government advisors, corporation chairpersons, Congress leaders, and party workers.
In the 16 months since the Congress government came to power in Telangana, the state has attracted investments amounting to approximately ₹2,44,962 crore. According to government sources, companies from various countries have signed agreements with the state government, expected to generate around 80,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
During the tour, CM Revanth Reddy continued his efforts to promote Telangana’s industrial potential and investor-friendly environment to global corporations. The outreach builds on the momentum from previous international engagements. In January last year, Telangana attracted investments worth ₹40,000 crore during the World Economic Forum summit in Davos. This year, agreements worth an impressive ₹1.78 lakh crore were signed at the same forum—more than three times last year’s figure—expected to create 50,000 jobs.
In addition to the gains from Davos, further investments totalling ₹14,900 crore were secured through visits to the United States, South Korea, and Singapore.
