Lift glitch adds to CM Revanth Reddy’s frustration ahead of CLP Meeting

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was visibly distressed after a lift he was travelling in stopped two steps short of the intended floor at the Novotel Hotel in Shamshabad on Tuesday. The incident occurred just as he was heading to attend the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting.

Sources indicate that the lift malfunction only compounded the Chief Minister’s mounting frustration, as he was already displeased with certain MLAs making premature statements regarding cabinet appointments. His mood reportedly worsened after the glitch, and murmurs among party circles suggest that he vented his irritation during the CLP meeting.

Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy is believed to have sternly warned MLAs that crossing the party line would not be tolerated. He said that those causing trouble for the party would face consequences themselves.

He added that speaking against the party’s interests would bring more harm than good and reiterated that the decision on cabinet expansion rests solely with the party high command. He made it clear that any public commentary on the matter was futile.

The Chief Minister also cautioned legislators that everything they say is being recorded, urging them to act with responsibility and discipline.
