Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will reach Adilabad on Thursday for a day-long tour. District officials completed all arrangements for the visit. The model code of conduct remains in force for the gram panchayat elections, so the administration cancelled all inaugural events in rural areas. Urban programmes, however, will continue as planned. The Chief Minister will attend foundation ceremonies and launch civic works in Adilabad town. He will later address a public meeting at the district headquarters. Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Chief Advisor P Sudarshan Reddy inspected the venue and briefed local officials.
Congress prepares for Revanth Reddy visit
Congress leaders from the erstwhile district planned strong mobilisation for Revanth Reddy. They expect leaders and cadre from all constituencies at the meeting. The main mobilisation effort came from Adilabad and Boath. Select mandals in Khanapur also prepared to send supporters.
During the visit, Revanth Reddy will launch works worth ₹18.70 crore under UIDF funds. He will perform bhoomi pooja for an IOC-linked petrol bunk set up under MEPPMA for ₹1.75 crore. CSR funds of ₹1 crore will upgrade facilities in two government schools. He will lay the foundation stone for a ₹2.31-crore 33/11 kV substation near the new Collectorate.
The Chief Minister will open police quarters built for ₹2.60 crore for DSP, CI and SI ranks. He will also inaugurate AR administrative and residential quarters completed for ₹11.93 crore. A Bharosa Centre built near Satnala bus stand for ₹2 crore will also be opened. Women SHG members will receive ₹19.69 crore in bank-linked cheques for 160 SLFs. IOCL and MEPPMA will exchange the MoU order for the new petrol bunk.
Revanth Reddy to deliver poll message
Congress leaders plan to use the visit to strengthen the party’s panchayat election effort. Revanth Reddy is expected to urge voters to support Congress-backed candidates. He may also call for coordinated cadre work across key mandals.
