Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday initiated the disbursal of ₹9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to 70,11,984 farmers across Telangana.
The transfers will be completed within nine days.
The Chief Minister made the announcement at the Rythu Nestham event held at Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University, where he addressed farmers from multiple districts.
He said the state was backing farmers to raise their standard of living and called for agriculture to become a source of pride in Telangana.
A bonus of ₹500 is being offered to promote fine rice cultivation, which the government is distributing to low-income groups. He said Telangana now leads the country in rice output.
He asked farmers to adopt crop rotation and directed district collectors to create awareness on using solar-powered pumps in agriculture.
Revanth said the government would remain stable for the next ten years, regardless of opposition protests.
He also launched a video conferencing system at 1,034 Rythu Vedikas, bringing the total with digital access to 1,600 across the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and other cabinet ministers were present.
