Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, on Friday, appealed to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He urged him to stop creating hurdles to Krishna projects’ permissions for projects taken up during the united Andhra Pradesh period. These Krishna projects play a crucial role in regional development.
Speaking after inaugurating the Suzen Medicare fluids plant at Maheshwaram, Revanth Reddy said Telangana was facing a growing economic burden. This was due to delays in project approvals. Additionally, he mentioned the consequent stoppage of fund releases by the Union government. He called on all political parties to support efforts to resolve inter-state water disputes amicably. This is to ensure the smooth execution of Krishna projects.
The Chief Minister said the Telangana government was not in favor of developing enmity with neighboring states over water sharing issues. He stressed that prolonged disputes were adversely affecting the State’s development. Moreover, these disputes affected farmers’ interests related to the Krishna projects.
