Hyderabad: The Centre initiated the Detailed Project Report process for the southern stretch of the Regional Ring Road, while Union Minister Nitin Gadkari informed State Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy through an official letter. Consequently, the Regional Ring Road (RRR) project has entered a key planning phase.
Gadkari stated that the Centre responded positively to the proposal submitted by the Telangana government. Moreover, officials have now moved ahead with preparatory work for the southern segment.
Regional Ring Road DPR process moves forward after Gadkari letter
The Union Minister confirmed that authorities have already appointed a consultancy to prepare the DPR. In addition, he noted that the process has formally begun.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy welcomed the development and expressed satisfaction over the Centre’s decision. Meanwhile, he said the project will improve connectivity and strengthen infrastructure across the State.
He described the Regional Ring Road as a “game changer” for Telangana’s economy. Therefore, he added that the project will significantly reshape the State’s economic landscape under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The minister also thanked Nitin Gadkari for accepting the State’s proposal. Furthermore, he termed the development as a positive update for Telangana people on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami.
Officials will now proceed with DPR preparation as part of the next phase of the RRR project. As a result, further steps in execution are expected to follow.
