Ranga Reddy Collector inspects EVM godown in presence of political parties

Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy District Collector C Narayana Reddy on Wednesday conducted a quarterly inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) godown at Rajendranagar in the presence of representatives from recognised political parties.

During the inspection, the Collector opened the sealed godown in their presence and reviewed the secured ballot units and election equipment. He also interacted with election officials to verify the condition and safety of the stored machines.

Collector directs strict safety measures for EVMs

Narayana Reddy instructed officials to maintain full caution in the handling and storage of EVMs and ballot units. The inspection included opening and resealing of the godown in the presence of political party delegates to ensure full transparency.

Officials present included Rajendranagar RDO Venkat Reddy, Tahsildar, and godown in-charge Bomma Ramulu. Representatives from major political parties also attended the inspection.

Participants included N Ravi Kumar and K Satish Kumar from BJP, Syed Siraj from AIMIM, N Narsimha Reddy from CPI, K Balraj, Arshad, and Abdul Bari from INC, and N Venkatesh from TDP.
