Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Thursday urged citizens to follow the Shivaji Maharaj path, describing the Maratha ruler as a symbol of patriotism, courage and righteous governance.
Speaking at Shivaji Jayanti celebrations held at the party’s State office, Rao said Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj represented the pride of all Indians. He stated that Shivaji Maharaj fought the Mughals to protect the nation’s honour and stood firm against rulers such as Aurangzeb.
Rao emphasised that the legacy of Shivaji Maharaj transcended caste and religion. He said the Shivaji Maharaj path reflected administrative excellence and welfare-oriented governance. “Shivaji Maharaj is not limited to any single religion or caste. His administrative efficiency and public welfare reforms served as an ideal for the entire nation. There is a need for everyone to walk in the path shown by Shivaji Maharaj, who courageously fought against cruel rulers like Aurangzeb,” he said.
