Hyderabad: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Telangana on Friday to take part in the birth anniversary celebrations of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad.
Organisers said Rajnath Singh would be the chief guest at the event, which commemorates Alluri’s legendary struggle against British colonial rule for the rights and welfare of tribal communities.
On social media, the Defence Minister paid tribute to Sitarama Raju’s courage and sacrifice, recalling his role in protecting the rights of tribal societies.
Several prominent leaders from both Telugu states as well as national political figures, are expected to attend the celebrations.
