Hyderabad: Rajasthan Power Minister Hiralal Nagar on Thursday met Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in Hyderabad to discuss the construction of 2,300 MW power plants under a new inter-state collaboration.

Nagar informed that the Rajasthan Cabinet has cleared the proposal for setting up 1,500 MW solar and 800 MW thermal power plants through a joint venture between Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL).
He handed over an official approval letter to Bhatti Vikramarka during their meeting at Praja Bhavan.
SCCL enters green energy agreement with Rajasthan
The Minister stated that these projects will help meet the growing power demands of both states and that Rajasthan acted swiftly to approve the venture to enable early implementation.
This marks the first instance of SCCL partnering with another state government. As part of its business expansion strategy, SCCL now plans to explore more green energy collaborations with other states.
The meeting was also attended by Rajasthan officials Kaluram and Pramod Sharma, along with SCCL Thermal Power Plant ED Chiranjeevi, GM (Coordination) T. Srinivas, and others.
