Raghunandan Rao launches counterattack against Mallu Bhatti over BC reservations in Telangana

Hyderabad: BJP MP Raghunandan Rao on Friday hit back at Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, accusing the ruling Congress of staging political drama over BC reservations in Telangana to win votes.

He said the Congress showed no real intent to implement the 42 per cent quota for Backward Classes. “If the Congress truly cares for the BCs, it should prove it in action,” Rao said. He demanded that the government include ten BC leaders as ministers to demonstrate its sincerity.

Raghunandan Rao also said the Congress avoided conducting local body elections for political gain. He asserted that only national and caste censuses would ensure justice for all communities.
