Hyderabad: Smoke from a Pushpak electric bus near Secunderabad’s YMCA junction triggered panic among passengers on Monday.
Commuters spotted thick smoke inside the vehicle and alerted the driver. He immediately stopped the bus and helped all passengers exit safely. His quick response prevented a major mishap.
Firefighters reached the location soon after receiving the alert. They inspected the bus and controlled the situation within minutes. Fire officers said a short circuit in the rear section caused the smoke.
No one suffered injuries, and the vehicle escaped any damage. Once the smoke cleared, the bus resumed its journey.
