Hyderabad: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar directed officials to ensure hassle-free travel for passengers returning to Hyderabad after the Dasara holidays. He reviewed the situation with senior RTC officials through a teleconference.
The Minister said passengers had already travelled in large numbers to villages for the festival. He instructed officers to take every precaution so that the return travel to Hyderabad after the holidays goes smoothly.
Minister orders special officers, extra buses for Dasara rush
Ponnam Prabhakar asked the RTC to post special officers at every bus station to manage passenger flow. He also ordered additional buses based on crowd levels.
He said passengers are expected to return from Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Khammam, Nalgonda, and Mahbubnagar in the coming days. To manage the rush, he directed regional managers, deputy managers, and depot managers to remain in the field.
The Minister instructed all 97 depots and 340 bus stations to work in coordination and transport passengers safely to their destinations.
