Ponnam Prabhakar reviews Husnabad hospital works, visits residential school

Hyderabad: Telangana Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inspected the construction of a 250-bed government hospital in Husnabad and later visited a residential school in the town on Monday.

Accompanied by the district collector, he reviewed the progress of the hospital construction works and directed officials to complete the project by next year.

The minister said the hospital aims to provide modern healthcare services to people in the region.

Officials informed him that the hospital building will have G+5 floors. Each floor will cover nearly 30,000 square feet.

Engineers have already completed the pillar stage of construction. Ponnam Prabhakar asked officials to speed up the works and ensure quality standards during construction.

Later, Ponnam Prabhakar visited the Social Residential Girls School in Husnabad and conducted a surprise inspection during the mid-day meal.

He stood in the queue with students, collected food on a plate and ate along with them.

The minister checked the menu served to students and interacted with the cooks. He directed them to provide quality and nutritious food.

He also instructed the school principal to monitor meals served to students every day.

Ponnam Prabhakar inspected classrooms, school surroundings and drinking water facilities. He asked officials to maintain cleanliness and ensure proper upkeep of the campus.

The minister interacted with students and encouraged them to focus on their studies.

He advised Class 10 students to prepare well for their upcoming examinations and aim for high marks.

He also assured that the government would provide additional facilities, such as toilets and sheds, if required.

Students presented songs and stories during the interaction. The minister appreciated them and encouraged their talents.
