Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurates ₹52 crore Falaknuma Parallel ROB in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar inaugurated the Falaknuma Parallel Road Over Bridge (ROB) on Friday. AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and senior officials joined the event.

The government built the 360-metre, four-lane bridge at a cost of ₹52.03 crore. Officials said the project allows conflict-free traffic from Barkas Junction near G-Max Convention to Falaknuma Bus Depot.

Falaknuma ROB to ease South Hyderabad traffic

The bridge eases travel between Barkas Junction and Charminar. It also reduces congestion near Falaknuma railway station, Global School, and the Kali Mata pilgrimage route.

Authorities said the facility cuts travel time and relieves pressure on busy junctions in South Hyderabad. They added that the bridge strengthens urban connectivity and improves daily commuting comfort for residents.
