Hyderabad: Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday launched a fresh Congress push in Jubilee Hills ahead of the by-election, leading a strategy meeting with party leaders and booth in-charges to build support for candidate Naveen Yadav.
Congress ramps up local-level coordination
At the Yousufguda division meeting, the focus was on energising the party’s ground team. Leaders present included MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, MLA Eerlapalli Shankarayya, AICC secretary Sampath Kumar, and civic body chairpersons Sivasena Reddy, Bellayya Naik, Giridhar Reddy, Lakshman Yadav, and Kursu Pasha.
Ponnam Prabhakar urged the cadre to work together and stay active in the field. He asked booth-level in-charges to speak with voters directly and aim for a higher turnout across every division.
Door-to-door outreach and voter transport plan
The minister laid out a plan for door-to-door campaigning. Teams will highlight the state government’s schemes and ongoing development efforts while connecting with voters. To strengthen the effort, party workers will target areas that saw lower turnout in earlier elections.
Additionally, leaders finalised transport plans to help voters reach polling stations. In places where booth access is difficult, local volunteers will assist with voter pick-up and drop services.
Daily tasks and booth-level monitoring
The session ended with clear daily goals for campaign work. Each division team received outreach targets and took charge of booth-wise performance. The leadership instructed them to monitor progress closely and submit daily updates to the central team.
By stepping up the Jubilee Hills campaign, Congress aims to widen its reach and secure strong voter backing for Naveen Yadav.
