Hyderabad: Task Force and Charminar Zone police busted a racket involved in the illegal sale of banned steroid injections in Chaderghat and arrested two persons.
Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended Shaik Sameer and Wasim Khan, both residents of Old Malakpet, for selling prohibited Mephentermine injections. They identified additional persons linked to the network during the probe.
Steroid injections racket uncovered in Old City
During the operation, police seized 20 injections along with three mobile phones and a motorcycle from the accused. The materials indicated organised distribution of banned steroid injections.
During interrogation, the accused said they sourced the injections through courier shipments from Delhi. They admitted to selling them illegally in the city.
Police registered a case against four persons in connection with the racket. Further investigation is underway to identify other links and supply chains.
