Pawan Kalyan extends support to BJP in Telangana municipal elections

Hyderabad: Campaigning for the Telangana municipal elections gathered pace across the state.

Cadres of all major parties intensified their outreach in towns and cities. The ruling Congress and the opposition BRS focused on winning maximum municipalities.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party made a key political move. Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao met Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy also attended the meeting. The interaction drew attention in political circles.

The leaders discussed the Telangana municipal elections and other key issues. The talks generated fresh interest ahead of polling.

Telangana municipal elections: BJP claims backing from Pawan Kalyan

After the meeting, Ramchander Rao posted a message on X. He said Pawan Kalyan had extended full support to the BJP in Telangana.

According to Rao, the Jana Sena Party chief agreed to campaign for the BJP. He said Pawan Kalyan would support the party during the municipal polls.

Rao added that the discussions covered election strategy and political developments. He claimed the support would accelerate the BJP’s growth in Telangana.

BJP leaders believe the backing could strengthen the party’s campaign. They expect it to improve the party’s prospects in several municipalities.
