Parivahan Sarathi services launched at GHMC offices across Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has introduced Parivahan Sarathi services at all its offices, allowing city residents to complete driving licence-related tasks without visiting RTOs.

The services available under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways’ Parivahan Sarathi portal cover renewal of driving licences, address changes, duplicate licence issuance, and learner’s licence applications. Citizens can now access them online or offline.

Applicants can upload documents, pay fees, and book appointments through the portal. Final verification can be done at the nearest GHMC office or designated RTO, depending on the requirement.

The facility is operational across GHMC’s six zones, 30 circles, and 150 wards, giving users easy access to transport services closer to home. Residents can check application status, generate certificates, and complete formalities without visiting distant offices.

GHMC launched the initiative in coordination with the Telangana Transport Department to simplify and decentralise public access to vehicle and licence services. The model aims to improve turnaround times, reduce congestion at RTOs, and boost service transparency.

Officials said the platform would save citizens time and effort while expanding GHMC’s delivery of decentralised, tech-enabled services.
