Hyderabad: One person was killed and two others were injured in separate road accidents reported in Hyderabad over the weekend.
In the first incident, a collision between two cars occurred on the PV Narasimha Rao Expressway under the jurisdiction of Attapur Police Station. The accident took place near pillar number 280 on the stretch from Mehdipatnam towards Aramghar, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. The driver of the overturned car sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital by police personnel who responded promptly to the scene. Further details about the accident are awaited.

In a separate incident around midnight on Sunday, brothers Haider Sharif (68) and Rehman Sharif (65) were involved in a tragic accident near pillar number 636 at Miyapur Metro Station. The brothers fell off their bike after it skidded, and an RTC bus following them ran over the duo. Haider Sharif died on the spot, while Rehman Sharif suffered serious injuries and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Police have taken the RTC bus driver into custody, registered a case, and initiated an investigation into the accident.
