Youth brutally murdered near Nahdi Hotel in Hyderabad’s Old City

Hyderabad: A sensational murder shook Hyderabad’s Old City late on Saturday night after unidentified attackers brutally killed a youth near Nahdi Hotel in Shaheen Nagar, under the Pahadi Shareef police station limits. The incident triggered panic and fear among local residents.

Police identified the deceased as Sheikh Aamir. According to officials, assailants attacked him with extreme violence and fled the scene, leaving his blood-soaked body on the road. Locals noticed the body and immediately alerted the police.

Upon receiving the information, a large police team rushed to the spot and secured the area. Officers collected evidence and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Old city murder probe focuses on past enmity angle

Police registered a murder case and launched an investigation. During preliminary inquiry, officers suspect old enmity or previous disputes as the possible motive behind the killing.

Sources said Sheikh Aamir was allegedly involved in the murder of a youth named Mubarak in January last year. Following that case, police had reportedly opened a rowdy sheet against him. Investigators are now examining whether the latest killing is linked to that earlier case.

The incident has once again raised concerns over gang rivalries and revenge killings in the Old City. Police said they are probing the case from all angles and are working to identify and trace the attackers.
