NTCT medical camp held on World Health Day

Hyderabad: NTCT medical camp was conducted by the New Town Charitable Trust (NTCT) at the Hyderabad District Collector Office on Tuesday to mark World Health Day 2026.

The programme took place in the presence of District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari as chief guest. District Revenue Officer E. Venkatachary attended as guest of honour. Administrative Officer P. Vijay Laxmi and District TB Control Officer Dr. Challa Devi were also present.

The organisers deployed a team of doctors to lead the NTCT medical camp. Dr. Faraz Farishta, an endocrinologist and diabetologist, participated in the camp. Ophthalmologist Dr. Abdul Qader and Dr. Sree Hari also provided consultations and medical services.

NTCT medical camp delivers integrated health services

The NTCT leadership team coordinated the NTCT medical camp. M.A. Irfan served as chairman, while Saber Khan worked as vice chairman. Shajiuddin Hydari functioned as secretary and Md. Niyaz Ahmed as treasurer. Patron CA Mohammed Owaisuddin supported the initiative.

Doctors conducted comprehensive health check-ups for about 170 staff members. These participants belonged to departments such as Revenue, Urban Land Ceiling, Special Executive Magistrate and Women and Child Welfare.

The NTCT medical camp included several diagnostic services. These covered Complete Blood Picture tests, thyroid function tests and blood pressure monitoring. Teams also carried out blood sugar testing, neuropathy screening and mobile chest X-ray services.

NTCT medical camp includes awareness sessions

In addition, the NTCT medical camp featured two awareness sessions. Dr. Abdul Qader conducted a session on eye health. Dietician Nida led another session on maintaining a healthy diet.

During the programme, organisers reiterated their belief in “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” stating that the world is one family. They said the staff of the Hyderabad District Collectorate formed part of their extended family. They added that NTCT remains committed to their health, safety and well-being.

District Collector Hari Chandana Dasari appreciated the initiative and its focus on health awareness. District Revenue Officer E. Venkatachary also commended the Trust for its service. He said the organisation prioritised the well-being of government staff.

Officials said the NTCT medical camp reflected the Trust’s continued commitment to public health, preventive care and community service.
