No fuel shortage in India, says Union Minister Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said there was no fuel shortage India and assured that petrol, diesel and LPG stocks were sufficient across the country.

He addressed media on Saturday and dismissed reports of any shortage. He urged people not to panic or rush to fuel stations and gas agencies.

He also rejected rumours about a possible lockdown. “There is no question of a lockdown under present conditions. Some are spreading false information. Do not believe it,” he said.

He asked citizens to avoid forming unnecessary queues at petrol bunks and gas agencies. According to him, the supply system remained stable.

No fuel shortage India, Centre ensures steady supply

Kishan Reddy said the government was closely monitoring fuel supply across the country. He added that authorities were ensuring timely imports from other nations.

He said global conditions had led several countries to increase duties. However, the Centre reduced excise duty to protect consumers from price burdens.

He also urged state governments to reduce VAT on fuel. Such steps, he said, would provide further relief to the public.

No fuel shortage India, technical issues resolved

The Minister said a few companies had faced technical issues earlier. However, those problems were fully resolved.

As a result, he said the fuel supply system had returned to normal. He stressed that there was no need for people to store fuel in excess.

Moreover, he reiterated that supplies of petrol, diesel and LPG remained adequate. He again appealed to the public not to believe rumours or create artificial demand.

He said the government would continue monitoring the situation to ensure uninterrupted supply across India.
