Nizam College receives NAAC A grade certificate

Hyderabad: The 137-year-old Nizam College earned an ‘A’ grade certificate from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The institution also achieved a 97.4% admission rate through DOST, the highest in Telangana, and ranked in the 101–150 range under the college category of the NIRF India Rankings 2025. It was the only college from Telangana in this category.

Principal Prof. A.V. Rajasekhar said in a release on Friday that the college felt proud of these recognitions. He noted that students excelled in academics, sports, and cultural activities, bringing distinction to the institution.

A student who offered outstanding social service in rural tandas of Mahabubabad district received the Indian Icon Award.

Students secure jobs and higher studies opportunities

Prof. Rajasekhar said 254 students secured jobs in reputed IT companies, reflecting the strength of the college’s academic and placement programmes. He added that many students, guided by dedicated faculty, gained admission into prestigious institutions such as the University of Hyderabad, IISc Bengaluru, and the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.
