Hyderabad: The prestigious Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) hospital in Hyderabad has extended its outpatient (OP) registration hours. Registrations previously ran from 8 am to 11 am and will now remain open until 2 pm.
The extension will ease access for patients travelling from distant areas. In line with the longer registration window, doctors will also remain available until the evening.
Same-day tests for all except MRI
Officials have also moved to end delays in key test reports and specialist appointments. They issued orders to conduct all medical tests, except MRI, on the same day a patient registers at the OP.
Reports for these tests now arrive within one or two hours. Patients can therefore show the results to doctors and receive treatment on the same day.
