Hyderabad: An NH-44 RTC bus accident left 20 passengers injured, including four in critical condition, after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus overturned at Itikyala Padu stage in Jogulamba Gadwal district early Thursday.
The accident occurred in the early hours on National Highway 44. The RTC bus was travelling from Hyderabad to Anantapur when it reportedly lost control and toppled on the highway. As a result, panic gripped passengers.
Local residents and passing motorists rushed to the spot. They alerted the police immediately. Emergency services responded without delay and shifted the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Officials said 20 passengers sustained serious injuries in the NH-44 RTC bus. Among them, four were reported to be in critical condition. Medical teams were closely monitoring their health status, authorities said.

Meanwhile, traffic on NH-44 was briefly disrupted following the accident. Later, authorities restored vehicular movement after clearing the overturned bus from the highway.
