Abandoned newborn girl rescued from thorn bushes in Narayanapet

Hyderabad: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in thorn bushes near a cotton mill on the outskirts of Appakpalli village, Narayanapet mandal. Local residents, who heard the infant’s cries, alerted 108 ambulance services, leading to a swift rescue.

Ambulance staff rushed to the location and found the baby suffering from minor injuries and breathing difficulties. Emergency medical technician Sirisha administered first aid on the spot. The team then shifted the newborn to Narayanapet District Hospital for further treatment.

Doctors at the district hospital, led by Dr Mahender, confirmed that the baby’s condition was stable after initial care. The child is under close observation and responding well to treatment.

Ambulance supervisor Raghavendra praised technician Sirisha and pilot Ramulu for their prompt action and presence of mind. Authorities suspect the child was abandoned shortly after birth by unknown persons.

The incident has triggered strong reactions in the district, with locals condemning the inhumane act and calling for awareness and stricter enforcement of child protection laws.
