Hyderabad: Senior BJP leader N Ramchander Rao will formally assume charge as the new president of the party’s Telangana unit on Saturday, July 5. His appointment, endorsed unanimously by state leaders and backed by central leadership, marks a key organisational transition ahead of the party’s strategic planning for upcoming civic and assembly polls.
The swearing-in programme will begin at 9 am with a special puja at the Bhagyalakshmi temple in the Old City near Charminar. From there, party workers and leaders will accompany Rao in a rally to Gun Park.
At 10 am, tributes will be paid at the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial at Gun Park. A second rally will then proceed from Gun Park to the BJP state headquarters.
Rao will officially take charge at the BJP Telangana office at 11 am in the presence of senior leaders, office-bearers, and invited guests.
Party sources said the event will showcase both organisational unity and renewed focus on grassroots mobilisation.
