Murder in Tolichowki sparks panic in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Panic gripped parts of the city on Sunday after police reported a murder in Tolichowki, adding to public fear amid a spate of killings in Hyderabad.

The killing occurred near Gate Number 3 of Paramount Colony within the Tolichowki police station limits. Unidentified assailants attacked and killed a man identified as Irfan, triggering tension in the locality. Residents alerted the police immediately, following which Tolichowki officers rushed to the spot and began inquiries.

Police registered a case and intensified the investigation into the murder in Tolichowki. Officers checked whether Irfan had disputes with anyone and questioned his family members and close associates. Meanwhile, investigators analysed his call data records to identify possible leads and establish a motive.

As part of the probe, Tolichowki police examined CCTV footage from the colony and surrounding areas. A clues team collected forensic evidence from the crime scene to assist the investigation. Police shifted Irfan’s body to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Officials urged residents to contact the police immediately if they noticed any suspicious persons linked to the murder in Tolichowki. Police said the investigation was progressing steadily and added that further details would emerge based on evidence.
