Hyderabad: Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna sought speedy forest clearances Telangana projects during a meeting with Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi on Friday.
The MP met the Union Minister to discuss key environmental priorities concerning Telangana. He raised issues related to sustainable development, forest conservation and industrial approvals. In addition, he stressed the need to balance economic growth with ecological responsibility.
“We discussed key environmental priorities concerning Telangana, including sustainable development, forest conservation, industrial clearances, and balancing growth with ecological responsibility. I emphasised the importance of ensuring that development initiatives align with environmental protection and long-term sustainability,” Vamsi said.
He reiterated his commitment to working with the Ministry to promote green development and strengthen environmental safeguards in the region.
Forest clearances Telangana projects include key road works
During the meeting, Vamsi specifically requested expedited forest clearances Telangana projects linked to several pending road works in his constituency.
He listed multiple stretches requiring approval. These included Mallampet–Nakkalapalli (4.45 km) in Kotapally mandal and Rajaram–Babberachiluka (2.14 km) in Kotapally mandal. He also cited the Chinnaraspalle–Vemanapally via Nagara, Lingala and Eetapalli road (7.127 km) in the Vemanapally region.
Further, he referred to the Racharla–Arjuanagutta road via Vemanapally, Algaon, Royyalapalli, Sirsa and Annaram (10.604 km) in the Vemanapally forest belt. The list also included Bopparam–Algaon (5.08 km) in Kotapally mandal and Parpally–Kawar Kothapally (3.69 km) in Kotapally mandal.
According to Vamsi, these forest clearances Telangana projects were vital to improve connectivity in forest and rural areas. He said the works would support development while maintaining environmental safeguards.
The Union Minister responded positively to the representation. He assured that the Ministry would give due consideration to resolve pending issues related to forest clearances Telangana projects, facilitating progress on the proposed road developments.
