HYDERABAD, February 3: Former minister Motkupalli Narasimhulu has written a letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, expressing his respect for the Madi community and urging him to support their rights. Narasimhulu emphasized that if Revanth Reddy provides permission for a planned meeting of the Madi community, his respect for the community will increase significantly.
In the letter, Narasimhulu discussed the need to improve the living standards of BC, SC, and ST communities, stating that political power is essential to achieving this. He extended his support to the “Lakh Dappulas, Thousands of Voices” event, organized by Mand Krishna Madi, which is set to take place in Hyderabad on February 7. Narasimhulu described the event as a historic occasion for the Madi and other SC communities.
He also congratulated Mand Krishna Madi on receiving the Padma Shri award, calling it a well-deserved recognition. Narasimhulu urged CM Revanth Reddy to honour the promises made to the Madi community and emphasized the importance of implementing the Supreme Court ruling on SC reservations.
Furthermore, Narasimhulu stated that if the government continues to ignore the SC reservation categorisation, it would be a grave injustice to the Madi and other SC communities. He called for the Lakh Dappulas Long March in Hyderabad on February 7, urging the participation of Madi and other SC communities in what he described as the largest cultural movement in history.
Narasimhulu’s letter to CM Revanth Reddy marks an important moment in the ongoing fight for social justice and the rights of the Madi and other SC communities in Telangana.
