SURYAPET: In a heart-wrenching incident, a mother and her son with a disability died by suicide after jumping into a well in Ramachandranagar village of Chilkur mandal, Suryapet district. The incident took place on Monday night and left the village in mourning.
According to local residents, Veeramma Budigam and her son Nageshwar Rao were facing severe emotional distress. Nageshwar Rao was a person with a speech disability and had ongoing health issues. Veeramma was reportedly anxious about their future, particularly who would care for them in the long term.
Overwhelmed by these concerns, the mother and son are believed to have taken their own lives by jumping into a well. The tragedy has cast a shadow of sorrow over the entire community.
