Mohammed Ali Shabbir pays tribute to Telangana poet Ande Sri

Hyderabad: Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir expressed deep sorrow over the death of poet and lyricist Ande Sri. He said the poet’s songs gave Telangana its identity and voice.

In his message, Shabbir said Ande Sri’s anthem “Jaya Jayahe Telangana Janani” would forever echo in every heart. He called it the soul song of Telangana and a timeless tribute to the state’s spirit.

‘Ande Sri was the people’s voice’

Shabbir described Ande Sri as a people’s poet and a crusader who inspired many during the statehood movement. He said the poet fought for justice, equality, and cultural pride through his writing.

“Ande Sri’s words awakened Telangana’s soul and gave strength to its people,” Shabbir said. He added that the poet’s death is a huge loss to Telugu literature and to everyone who believes in the power of poetry.

Shabbir offered condolences to Ande Sri’s family, friends, and admirers. He prayed for peace to the poet’s soul and said his legacy would live on.
