Hyderabad: MLC Teenmaar Mallanna held a crucial meeting with BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) in the Telangana Assembly on Monday, where discussions focused on the newly introduced BC Bill. The meeting took place during the fourth day of the state’s budget session, drawing attention due to Mallanna’s recent political stance and activism.
Mallanna urged KTR to question Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the bill and sought BRS support for a planned protest in Delhi. The protest aims to pressure the central government into approving the BC Bill, which has been a focal point of political debate in Telangana.
Mallanna, who was expelled from the Congress party before the MLC elections, has been actively mobilizing BC communities across the state. He had previously made strong remarks against certain Congress leaders, leading to his expulsion. After winning the MLC by-election, he intensified his activism, recently criticizing the Congress-led caste census and publicly burning related reports on his YouTube channel.
His meeting with KTR is seen as a strategic move in his campaign for BC rights, signaling possible shifts in political alignments ahead of the upcoming protests.
