Hyderabad: Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh on Saturday handed over more than 30,000 signatures related to a vote theft complaint. He delivered the signatures to Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Mahesh Kumar Goud.
The signature campaign, conducted across the Cantonment constituency, was carried out under instructions from the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and TPCC. The initiative accused the BJP of colluding with the Election Commission. It described the alleged electoral manipulation as a serious threat to democracy.
Vote theft complaint signed by over 30,000 people
MLA Sri Ganesh led the door-to-door campaign to gather public support. The effort culminated in the submission of signed documents at Gandhi Bhavan.
TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud commended Sri Ganesh and the Cantonment Congress cadre for mobilising such large-scale participation. He called the campaign a strong public statement against electoral malpractice.
Tungaturthi MLA Samelu was also present during the handover ceremony.
