A private bus returning from a wedding collided with a tractor in Miryalaguda, killing one woman and injuring 15 others.
HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, a private bus returning from a wedding collided with a tractor from behind, resulting in the death of a woman and serious injuries to 15 others. The accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Chintapalli Bypass on the Addanki-Narketpalli road in Miryalaguda town.
According to local sources and police reports, a group of passengers from Nellore had attended a wedding in Hyderabad and were travelling back in a private bus when the accident took place. The bus reportedly crashed into a tractor from behind near the Water Tank Tanda area of Miryalaguda mandal.
As a result of the impact, Nunavat Sunitha, who was travelling on the tractor, died on the spot. The tractor driver, Nunavat Saida, sustained severe injuries. Several passengers on the bus, including Rajasekhar, Naga Charitha, Shailaja, Radha, Akhila, Sivarama Krishna, and Surender Rao, also suffered injuries. The bus driver and cleaner were among those hurt.
Reports indicate that Saida and two other injured persons are in critical condition. The injured were immediately rushed to various private hospitals in Miryalaguda town for treatment, while others continued to receive medical attention.
Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the collision. Further updates are awaited.
