Ministers review Indiramma Housing rollout in CURE limits

Hyderabad: Revenue, Housing and I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy reviewed the implementation of Indiramma Housing in CURE limits covering Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri and Sangareddy districts at the Secretariat.

Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad district in-charge ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar, along with Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, participated in the review. Housing MD V P Gautam, the Collectors of the four districts and Commissioners of GHMC, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri corporations also attended the meeting.

During the review, ministers directed officials to complete beneficiary selection under Indiramma Housing by the end of March. They decided to issue sanction letters to 28,000 eligible beneficiaries who already possess house sites by month-end.

March-end deadlines fixed for Indiramma Housing

The ministers also instructed officials to finalise the selection of beneficiaries for both completed and incomplete 2BHK houses by March-end. Further, they directed the Housing Corporation to complete pending 2BHK units on priority.

At the same time, they ordered action against bogus and non-resident allottees. They said authorities must reallocate such units transparently to eligible poor beneficiaries.

In addition, the ministers proposed in-situ G+5 to G+10 Indiramma Housing construction in slum areas. They also instructed officials to ensure basic amenities, including water, power and drainage, in all 2BHK colonies.

Moreover, they decided to take up an Affordable Housing Policy between the Regional Ring Road and Outer Ring Road limits.
