Hyderabad: Forest, Environment, and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha invited Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to attend the Sitarama Kalyanam at Bhadrachalam scheduled for March 27.
She met the Governor at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday and formally presented the invitation along with temple priests and Endowments Department officials.

The Minister explained the significance of the Kalyanam, describing it as a major religious event celebrated across the state. According to her, the festival attracts devotees from different parts of the country.
She assured that the government was making comprehensive arrangements for smooth conduct. In addition, authorities would take steps to prevent inconvenience to devotees.
Yellandu MLA Koram Kanakaiah, Endowments Principal Secretary Shailaja Ramaiyer, Commissioner Hanumantha Rao, and temple priests attended the meeting.
